I received this cover as a gift. When I opened the plastic wrapper, the smell was awful. After a few days outdoors, the odor remains. It will take a long time to feel it is o.k.

The case is well designed. I wasn’t exactly sure how the jacket would attach to the Kindle. When I opened the package, it was obvious how the hooks fit into the left edge of the Kindle and lock securely. It adds a little depth to the device but the added protection is well worth it. And now it is so much easier to find the device with the Marble Red color. The whole family uses it and is a really big hit!

I have to admit, I spent a stupid amount of time combing through all the available Kindle covers and reading lots of reviews before deciding on this cover. To start with, the red is more a true red and not so much an orange-red as you might expect from the photo. It is a very beautiful, rich red, and quite eye-catching. My Kindle fit perfectly. The hinges hooked on great, and I especially like the elastic “corner catchers” for the right side of the Kindle. The Kindle is firmly seated into the cover and hasn’t budged in any direction, even when I had mistakenly tried to open it with the Kindle on the top. The cover easily bends all the way back when you are reading and has done so from the start. There was absolutely NO odor from the cover except for a very faint “leather” smell. (You must believe me here since I am allergic to everything, and any objectionable smell would be a serious issue with me.) If you like red, as I do, then dress up your Kindle in it!

I purchased this cover for my kindle and I have been very pleased. The cover is very well made and sturdy. The leather is shiny so if your looking for something with a flat finish, this isn’t what you want.
